Twitter

11/15/2007

Oh, I have discovered the joys of twittering with my friends, and now I must share that joy with you. Twitter allows you to send and receive short (140 characters or less) messages letting others know what you are doing. I got hooked on it while in Vegas, when my friends and I needed to be able to communicate quickly and easily. I’ve decided that I now need a cell phone so I get receive tweets. I won’t be needing a Bluetooth headset, because I don’t plan to actually speak on it. I do, however, need that sweet little thingie (I forget the name, but it had a full QWERTY keyboard) that Colleen has, so I can text my little heart out.

Television

10/23/2007

Now, those of you who know me are probably sitting there asking yourself if I have been smokin’ crack, but stay with me. I just priced Hannah Montana tickets and they start at $120. Start, ya’ll! And tv? Well, tv = Hannah Montana for free! Or at least for the price of basic cable. Here, that means all my kids can see Hannah for a year for the cost of one ticket.

Paris

10/02/2007

I’m not talking about the city in France, but rather Paris Las Vegas. From the Eiffel Tower to Rue de la Paix to the Opera House, portions of the City of Lights have been re-created in the City of Sin. To which I am going. In November. HA!I will definitely have to check this hotel out. Just because my reservations are somewhere else doesn’t mean I can’t visit Paris, right?

Roald Dahl

10/01/2007

Seriously, my mouth dropped open! If you or your children have ever enjoyed James and the Giant Peach orCharlie and the Chocolate factory, you simply MUST visit the official Roald Dahl website. Quirky music, Roald recommends, Quotable Quotes and more. If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself! Be careful, you may have too much fun!

Live Shows

09/25/2007

Recently, I went to see a live show, and it was the first one I’d been to in a very long time. It was so fun! So, once again, I am offering a neat thing that isn’t a website. Go see a show. You don;t need to visit Branson Missouri to do it, either. the are plenty of local venues for shows. Just check your yellow pages.

Disney

08/20/2007

This neat thing is probably mostly for those of you with children. But not necessarily. I’m thinking about the Wonderful World of Disney that comes on television. We enjoy watching it when we’re home and it’s on, because the movies are usually good ones. We laugh a lot, and laughing with people you love is just a really neat thing to do. I especially like it when they play older movies!

Now, sometimes (usually) they have ads for DisneyWorld during the movie, and it gets the kids thinking about how cool it would be to go there. So this post is actually a two-fer. Watch the movie with your kids, and then go here to book one of the Cheap Disney World Vacation Packages. Your kids will be so excited!

07/03/2007

There’s a free trial, so you can try it out and see if it’s for you. If you do decide to play for pay, you can get cards for as little as ten cents.

In addition to the bingo games, there’s also a chat feature on the site, and a few other games as well. Here are the instructions for getting started, and here are the FAQs

Neat Seats

06/13/2007

600129_fr.jpg Well, here’s your chance to laugh at me, ok? You all know what this is, right? Well, I didn’t, but today, I learned that this is called home theater seating, and I want some. I also want a room large enough to put it in and a big screen tv, and preferably surround sound. If I’m going to wish, I might as well ask for the moon, right?
